According to NASA, both blue and white stars appear in the image, their brightness standing out against the deep crimson coloring of the surrounding gas. The gas clouds form a vivid contrast to the luminous stellar objects positioned in front of them.

NASA described the background gas as crimson in color, giving the overall composition a striking visual range from cool reds to the intense whites and blues of the stars themselves. The Hubble Space Telescope, operated by NASA, recorded the scene, capturing blue and white stars shining against that red-toned gas.
